This Privacy Policy explains how Alone Paints collects, uses, stores, and protects information when dealers, painters, administrators, and other authorized users use the Alone Paints web and Android application.
The Alone Paints app is a loyalty, QR coupon, cashback, points, offer, and redemption platform for authorized Alone Paints users.
Information We Collect
Depending on your account type and activity, we may collect and process the following information:
- Account details such as name, mobile number, business name, role, password, status, state, city, pincode, and address.
- Dealer and painter assignment information, including the dealer selected by a painter during registration.
- OTP verification records used for registration, login support, and password reset flows.
- QR coupon scan information, including coupon code, scan status, scan time, scanned-by dealer or painter, cashback amount, and points.
- Redemption, approval, settlement, and transaction history needed to manage cashback, points, dealer payouts, and painter redemptions.
- Offer information created by dealers or the company, including offer text and uploaded offer images where applicable.
- Technical information such as session data, device/browser details, security logs, and app usage information needed to operate and protect the service.
Camera Permission
The Android app may request camera access so users can scan QR coupons. Camera access is used only for QR scanning inside the app. We do not use the camera for advertising, background tracking, or unrelated purposes.
Information We Do Not Collect
- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not collect contact lists, call logs, SMS inbox content, microphone recordings, or precise location for app functionality.
- We do not use user data for third-party advertising personalization.
How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- Create, verify, and manage dealer, painter, and administrator accounts.
- Send OTP messages for registration and password reset through configured SMS providers.
- Validate QR coupon scans and prevent duplicate or unauthorized coupon use.
- Calculate cashback, points, redemptions, settlement amounts, and account balances.
- Show relevant offers, histories, dashboards, and account details to authorized users.
- Provide support, investigate errors, prevent misuse, and keep the platform secure.
- Comply with applicable legal, accounting, audit, and business record requirements.
Sharing of Information
We share information only when needed to operate the Alone Paints loyalty program:
- Administrators may access dealer, painter, coupon, redemption, offer, and settlement data to manage the program.
- Dealers may see information about painters assigned to them and redemption details required to process painter payouts.
- Painters may see their own account, scan, points, cashback, approval, and redemption information.
- Service providers, such as hosting, database, SMS OTP, and infrastructure providers, may process data only as needed to provide the service.
- Information may be disclosed if required by law, regulation, valid legal request, fraud prevention, security protection, or business transfer with appropriate notice.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect user information. These include HTTPS transmission, password hashing, role-based access controls, authentication, and restricted administrative access. No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we work to protect information from unauthorized access, misuse, loss, or alteration.
Data Retention and Deletion
We retain account, QR scan, redemption, settlement, and offer records for as long as needed to provide the loyalty program, resolve support issues, prevent fraud, maintain accounting/audit records, and comply with legal or business requirements.
Users may request account deletion, correction, or access to their information by contacting the Alone Paints administrator or support team. Some records may be retained where necessary for legal, audit, accounting, fraud-prevention, settlement, or dispute-resolution purposes.
Children's Privacy
The Alone Paints app is intended for authorized business users such as dealers, painters, and administrators. It is not intended for children under 13 years of age.
Third-Party Services
The app may rely on third-party service providers for hosting, SMS OTP delivery, Android WebView/Google Play distribution, and related infrastructure. These providers may process limited information only as needed to support app functionality and security.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we update it, we will revise the effective date on this page. Continued use of the app after a policy update means the updated policy applies.
